Celebrate the Week of ECE with Discovery
One week is never enough to celebrate the amazing staff we have here at Discovery but it’s our opportunity to spoil those who show up for our families day in and day out. This year the Week of ECE lands on April 27th through May 3rd where we once again have many things planned for our amazing staff and are looking for support from you, the families of DCC to help create an exceptional experience. As parents, we always feel lost on what to do to really make each person feel special and that’s why we as the Board of Directors are happy to take on that task for you. Last year we asked for food/drink donations along with monetary donations to help enhance the week and the impact that made went far beyond our dreams. We are hoping we can do it again.
For insight into what we were able to provide to our staff last year:
· Wallaby Coffee Cart (Craft Coffees/Matcha) made to order (1 during ECE week and 1 later in May as a surprise)
· 15 Minute massages
· Extra breaks
· Soups/Chili lunch provided by the board and some families
· A gift (Sweatpants in 2025, Sweatshirt in 2024)
· A delicious catered lunch from Calabria Italian Market
· Ice cream from Sargent Sundae
· An additional lunch in June
· A Saje pocket pharmacy for each classroom.
This year, we are changing the Wall of Gratitude to a Memory Wall. Starting Monday, April 27, you’ll find sticky notes and markers available next to the parent bulletin board in the link. Families are invited to take a moment to write a message of thanks, appreciation, or a special memory about your child’s experience at Discovery. Simply grab a marker, write your message on a sticky note, and add it to the wall. By the end of the week, we hope to have a bright and colourful wall filled with kind words and memories that our ECEs can read and cherish.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, we will accept E-transfers to payments@discovery.com. Please be sure to include “WEEK OF ECE” in the notes so that you can receive a tax receipt.
