Discovery Is Offering Refunds For Parents Who Purchased Key Fobs (some restrictions apply)

To enhance safety in Early Learning and Child Care facilities in Manitoba, effective on April 1, 2011, all child care centres were required to have a locked door policy.

For Discovery’s plan to control visitor access we installed a door swipe system which allows access with the use of a key fob.  At the time of installation, to sustain the cost of the new system, Discovery made the decision to charge parents $10.00/key fob. Through policy changes, over the last decade, the cost of parent key fobs is now absorbed in the Registration Fee.

If you are a parent from Discovery who registered their child from 2011- 2017 and you purchased your key fob, you are entitled to a $10.00 refund with the return of the key fob. The refunds will be available until February 29, 2024. Please contact reception@discoverycc.com to determine whether you qualify for a key fob refund.
