What If A Family Member In The Same Home Displays COVID-19 Symptoms?

While Winnipeg is in Critical (Red) Level on the pandemic response system anyone who is symptomatic or has a household member who is symptomatic, the entire household must now self isolate. Beginning immediately, when a child is sent home due to COVID symptoms, parents will be expected to pick up their child showing symptoms as well as all of the siblings residing in the same household.  Staff will be asking whether or not there are family members in your household who are at home with symptoms, who are ill or waiting for test results. The child may return to care once the family member who was showing symptoms has received a negative test result.  The family member who was tested can return once they receive a negative test result and they have been free of symptoms for 24 hours.
