Growing Together: Exciting Improvements Coming to Discovery

Children, families, and staff deserve beautiful, welcoming spaces in which to learn, grow, and thrive. Discovery currently has several improvement projects underway. Weather permitting, all projects are expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.

These improvements will not affect regular operating hours, and child care services will continue as usual throughout the construction period. While some outdoor play areas may be temporarily adjusted to accommodate the work, children will continue to have access to outdoor play spaces.

To minimize disruption, project work will be scheduled around year-end celebrations and daily routines, including nap times. Planned improvements include:

• Installation of new countertops in our P2, S1, XP and Flex programs, as well as in a couple of shared spaces, including the staff communication room and the large muscle room.
• Replacement of the roof on the Play Garden shed.
• Installation of artificial turf in the front outdoor play area between the ship and the climber.

We anticipate little to no disruption to drop-off and pick-up routines, as most of the work will take place in areas that are not typically used during arrival and departure times.
