Professional Development Closure Days for Discovery in 2027

At Discovery, we recognize the importance of ongoing professional development in supporting our staff and enhancing the quality of care and education we provide to children and families.

To support this commitment, Discovery’s Board has approved a motion to schedule four professional development closure days in 2027, the maximum number of closure days permitted. These dedicated days will provide our staff with valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

Please mark your calendars for the following dates, when Discovery will be closed for the entire day:

• Friday, January 15, 2027
• Friday, March 19, 2027
• Friday, May 7, 2027
• Friday, November 5, 2027
